1.Profile

I am a Chairman of Fertilizer Association of Vietnam  (FAV). FAV has the individual and collective members in the fertilizer sector. FAV was established in the year  1996 by the decision of the Prime Minister of Vietnam. FAV has the main office in Hanoi.

The function of FAV as follows:

- Gathering and uniting members to participate in the development of the fertilizer sector.

- To disseminate and to foster the knowledge for the members.

- To participate in and to propose the guidelines and policies related to the fertilizer field to the competent agencies.

- To cooperate in the research, fostering, training, improving capacity, skills and professional skills, sharing the information and the experience for members.

- To step up the trade promotion activities for the domestic and the international markets.

- To participate in the domestic and the international advertising activities, fairs and exhibitions to introduce Vietnam's fertilizer industry.

- To cooperate with the institutes and companies to develop the fertilizer of the high technology, the fertilizer of the new generation.

2.Available products/services/projects/technologies

Vietnam can produce the urea, DAP, SSP, FMP, NPK with the total amount from 6.5 – 7 million tons of the inorganic fertilizer per year, 2 – 2.5 million tons of the organic fertilizer.Vietnam imports every year 3.5 – 4.2 tons of the organic fertilizer.Vietnam can export some urea, SSP, DAP and NPK about 1.5 million tons of all kinds of the fertilizers.

3.Required products/services/projects/technologies/funding and related requirements

Vietnam continue to import MOP, SA, ammonium chloride, the organic fertilizer, NPK with the high concentration.

Vietnam need the technology for the EEF (Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizer) such as slow release fertilizer, the controlled release fertilizers, the fertilizer can use in the areas effected by the climate change, or to decrease the impact of the green house gases.
