China-ASEAN Chamber of Agricultural Commerce, abbreviated as CACAC, was established with the permission of the State Council of China and the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China, winning the confirmation and support of the ASEAN Secretariat. As the the first international chamber of commerce with “China-ASEAN” in its title in China charged by All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives (ACFSMC), it’s also the only one organization concerning foreign affairs in the agricultural means of production sector in China to conduct foreign investment and trade cooperation. 

CACAC was established on December 26, 2007 and was relocated from Nanning to Beijing in December 2014. According to the regulations approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, geographically, CACAC not only puts emphasis on ASEAN countries and countries along the Belt and Road, but also serves other countries in the world, aiming at actively promoting bilateral or multilateral trade, cooperation and exchanges. In the business area, According to the national conditions of ASEAN countries and countries along the Belt and Road, CACAC takes promoting trade and investment in the agricultural means of production as main business and gradually expands into related fields such as agriculture and cross-border e-commerce, actively promotes the internationalization of domestic agricultural enterprises and helps relevant countries improve the level of agricultural modernization. In terms of operation mechanism, in accordance with the rules of international chamber of commerce, CACAC takes “Consultations, Sharing and Common development” as its principal and mechanism, making great efforts to aggregate resources of member countries and arouse the enthusiasm of all participants, thus building an international exchange platform of win-win cooperation.

CACAC aims to serve the agricultural development in the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, actively seeks to promote international agricultural, economic and trade cooperation and exchanges, and strives to build a platform for dialogue and exchange among governments, industries, enterprises, social organizations, experts and scholars, etc. It plays an important role in promoting cooperation opportunities sharing, strengthening agricultural capacity, economic, trade and technological exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries and countries along the Belt and Road.
