Vietnam was the second-biggest supplier of sliced cassava and tapioca starch to China in the first ten months of this year, local media cited the latest data from the General Administration  of Customs of China (GACC) as saying. In the period, Vietnam exported $136.48 million worth of sliced cassava to China, up 56.7%  y/y. The figure made up 10% of China’s total imports of such goods, versus 12.7% in the  same period of 2020. Besides, Vietnam exported 494,669 tons of cassava starch worth nearly $229.19 million to China in the period, down 39.9% y/y and 29% y/y, respectively. The figure made up 17.6% of  China’s total imports of such goods, versus 37.1% y/y in the same period of 2020.
