The company is engaged in the manufacturing (inspection of gloves, tyres, oily chemicals and its derivatives), wholesale and retail of various products, and real estate development. The retail business is mainly carried out through its subsidiary Crabtree & Evelyn, which is a distributor and retailer of bathing supplies with business coverage in Malaysia and overseas.

Production/sales scale

The company is a plantation group covering 135,391 hectares and consisting of 45 manors in Malaysia Peninsula, Sabah and Indonesia. 83 % of the land is planted with oil palm, of which 58 % is mature and 25 % is immature. The other 16 % is planted with rubber, and the rest 1 % is planted with cocoa. The company has 4,616 hectares of plantable reserves.

The core business of the group is the planting industry (oil palm and rubber). The company owns more than 250,000 hectares of plantations in Malaysia (Peninsula and Sabah) and Indonesia (Belitung, Sumatra and Kalimantan). Since the 1990s, the company has diversified its operations around the world, such as resource-based manufacturing (oil chemicals, derivatives and specialty chemicals), real estate development and retail (personal care products, bathing supplies and new food). 

With planting industry still as its core business, it has expanded to the downstream of resource-based manufacturing industry, especially oil chemical products and rubber processing. Through the global brand of Crabtree & Evelyn, it is involved in the production and retail of personal care products, bathing supplies, household perfume and advanced food.
